2 November 2012 Konichiwa and greetings from Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan! I finally made it here after 5 flight cancellations from NY. I tried to escape Hurricane Sandy by leaving last Sunday, but as I got to Newark, they closed the airport! So I had no choice but to stay in NY and brace the storm. Unfortunately, my mother was waiting for me in Tokyo for this photographic expedition we were to venture on together. She was in great company as our tour guide, Alfonso Calero made sure not a second was wasted. I however have missed out on a lot of sushi, sake and sights! I look forward to catching up with them in Kyoto tomorrow morning, which means a quick nap at this hotel and then the bullet train onwards. I have to congratulate the American Airlines staff and all at JFK who treated everyone with respect and humour. So many passengers to get in the air, yet it was all done with efficiency and a smile. Even the TSA were super friendly! And then the God of travel sent me a surprise upgrade to Business Class, which was like winning the lottery for this weary traveler. A special thank you to Diane who spoiled me rotten in the air!! It was a magnificent journey after such a harrowing week. Our place lost power on Monday night, and so we had to ration everything we could. We were lucky though to be safe and not flooded. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who lost loved ones and or their homes. It was a huge storm and we are still suffering the effects. We just have to be grateful for our blessings and wait patiently for NY to get back its power and then on its feet. I also have to be thankful for the vets who took care of my little dog Powder. It was a little touch and go there, but she's home, a little shaved in the wrong areas, but she's alive and wagging her tail...xxx
3 November 2012 Had an awesome day with Mum and learned a lot of new photo tips from my new sen-sai. Loving Kyoto, loving Japan!!!xxx

11 September 2012 Nearly fell over from the surprise of seeing the beautiful Emily Williams (ROCK OF AGES - Broadway) at rehearsals for the BENCH SHOW today! Amazing!! Xx
12 September 2012 I'm sharing a room with my mate Manny. Just saying.
17 September 2012 BENCH UNIVERSE 2012 Well, it's been days since I performed for the BENCH UNIVERSE show at the Mall Of Asia Arena, but I am still buzzing from the experience. It was a huge show on every level. I made some great new friends and loved every bit of being a part of this extravaganza. It was a great honour to open the show. The local talent matched the imported variety, and Pinoy Pride must be bursting with what they achieved here. Underwear models...MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES! xxx
America's Next Top Models...Dominique Reighard, Sophie Sumner, Allison Harvard...and MiG?!
8 August 2012 As the flood waters yet again rise in Manila, my prayers go out to all Filipinos that they stay safe and unaffected by the never-ending rain. I hope the rain stops, the waters recede and that no more casualties result from this latest deluge. As Britain stays glued to the Olympics, images of a sunken Manila snap us back into reality. You are not alone...hang in there! xxx
20 August 2012 Still bathing in the awesomeness of the talent I had the privilege to join last night at WEST END FEST in Covent Garden. You all need to SIT DOWN!!! Xxx
22 August 2012 Start spreading the news... I'm leaving today. I wanna be a part of it, New York, New York!! Bye London. You've been a beautiful and worthy friend. Hope to come back again some day... Xxx
5 July 2012 The PogiBoyz (with a 'Z'...Manila's answer to THE MOST HANDSOME MEN IN THE WORLD) rocked Radio Republic last night!!
7 July 2012 It's the final countdown! The last day of ROCK OF AGES - Manila. I am so grateful for the opportunity of a lifetime to share this amazing experience with my incredible new family. I will miss you all. Let's not say goodbye...see you again. But in the meantime...I WANNA ROCK!!!
8 July 2012 My very special family. I will miss you all. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly with open arms. I will never forget this time with you. It was truly awesome. Please take care, stay in touch and hope we will meet again. I suck at goodbyes... so this is my way of saying I love you all.xxx
14 July 2012 We had our cast party at my ancestral home in San Miguel, lovingly restored as an acclaimed restaurant museum called LA COCINA DE TITA MONING. My cousin Suzette has turned the home into an amazing dining experience, so that you can sample the ancient recipes of my Gigi (grandmother) amidst the romantic setting of an elegant era long gone. My grandfather was not only a skilled doctor, but was an avid photographer and an amateur radio enthusiast (HAM operator). Seeing his rig and call sign DU1-AL brought back so many wonderful memories of my grandparents who had a regular schedule with us in Australia (my father also became a HAM operator). This was in the days before the internet, and Skype was nothing but a fanciful imagination of science fiction.
16 July 2012 Delta...you're a great way to fly!! Just about to leave New York. London, here I come!!
17 July 2012 LONDON. LOVE IT. Unpack, shower, haircut at Andrew Brown's, then off to THRILLER LIVE! No rest for the wicked...and I have been very wicked!! xx

24 July 2012 Summer has landed in London AT LAST! Not sure how long this will last but we are all making the most of it. Am starting my last week at THRILLER LIVE! 7 shows to go, finishing July 29. Am soaking in every moment. Sha 'mon!! Xxx
26 July 2012 It's the day before the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games 2012, and the city is buzzing like I've never experienced it before. There is so much excitement and the city is just showing off in every way imaginable. I feel so lucky to be here at this time and am again at the crossroads. I finish with THRILLER LIVE this Sunday, July 29. Only five shows left, and I am trying to make every second count. After the show, I will be working for the London Media Centre as an editor's assistant, helping put together footage of London and the Games. It's a chance for me to hone in my editing skills as well as gain valuable experience, and it's my little way of being part of this momentous occasion. Let the Games begin!
29 July 2012 My last day at THRILLER LIVE in London at the Lyric Theatre. It's been a wonderful gig! You give your all and still keep giving. I will miss you and cherish my time with you. Thank you all. Thank you Michael. Always love, MiG xxxx
3 June 2012 We are getting the picture of how this show is going to go, and it's going to be AWESOME! The cast never cease to amaze me with their talent and enthusiasm. Only 11 days now until our first show, and we are steam-rolling into oblivion, taking no prisoners. We just gave people a taste of what's to come on the popular TV show "ASAP", and by all accounts the appetites are whet!
8 June 2012 Posing for a shot with Boy Abunda and the whole 'BANDILA" team on the set at ABS-CBN, Manila after being interviewed. Such a fun interview...but I think I gave Boy Abunda a lap-dance...SOMEBODY STOP ME!!
10 June 2012 I spent the day with my cousin Suzette, doing the amazing Intramuros Tour by Carlos Celrdan. Carlos takes you on a historic journey of Old Manila, that will amaze you, inspire you, move you, uplift you and above all, entertain you. Complete with a kalesa ride and finished off with your own halo-halo, this tour is a MUST DO for any visitor to Manila. His passion for the city is contagious and it will change the way you view Manila forever.
11 June 2012 The Manila company of ROCK OF AGES on our last day at the rehearsal studio. Into The RCBC tomorrow, and we're moving into the Bourbon Room. Can't wait!!!
11 June 2012 Everyone's getting into the spirit of ROCK OF AGES! With our impending opening night this weekend and the premiere of the movie just moments away, Manila is rocking OUT! Walking into the new (and truly awesome!) POWER MAC CENTER, I was welcomed like a rockstar. For me being a MAC-O-PHILE, I may as well have been receiving a Grammy!! xxxx
14 June 2012 Our preview performance in front of our first audience was truly a blast. The response was amazing and we are so glad to finally be in show shape! I am so proud of our Manila team. We are all set for opening night tonight. CHOOKAS to you all. Let’s DO THIS!!
20 June 2012 A special thanks and debt of gratitude and appreciation to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Makati Medical Center for taking such good care of me the past couple of days. Your kindness, expertise and professionalism will always be remembered. THANK YOU!!xxx
21 June 2012 Well, we have opened in Manila and the response has been so amazing, we have completely sold out the original season! They have had to add two more shows to the season to keep up with the demand for tickets. You can't argue with that! I had a great time at Radio Republic last week and am looking forward to doing more with this amazing group, who do everything they can to support local musicians and their craft.
29 June 2012 I spent yesterday at the amazing MINT (Meridian International College). The students organized such a wonderful event and I had a ball being grilled by the awesome Pinky Amador. To all those who made me feel so welcome, I thank you and congratulate you. This school is already creating industry leaders of tomorrow. I was so honoured and so touched by your warmth and awesomeness!!

It will never be a vocal walk in the park, as MJ sings so incredibly high, but it’s a challenge and a wonderful journey. There is so much of London to take in! I love being here, and being part of the incredible West End community. I saw GHOST last week and was so moved by the performances, the music and the staging. 12 November 2010 DETROIT, ROCK (of Ages!) CITY We finally find ourselves in Detroit. Home to so many things, like Ford and the American automotive industry, tecnho-music and of course, Motown. We had the privilege of visiting Berry Gordy's original Motown studios as soon as we arrived. The building itself is a pretty modest house on Grand Boulevard, but what went on in there was nothing short of magical and legendary. Stepping into Studio A was like stepping into a portal not only transporting us back in time, but to a place where a revolution of art and love was founded. This was a movement that not only changed the face of music forever, but was a voice of a people who wanted to be heard and whose echo reached the farthest corners of the earth. The story behind the birth of this phenomenon was inspirational enough, but what it created will forever move of us and define us. Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin, just to name a few, all recorded here. No wonder that Detroit gave birth to so many amazing acts like The Stooges, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent and Suzie Quatro, Eminem and The White Stripes. Much of the reason why I wanted to be a musician is because of what happened in that studio. I am still shaking... As far as the show, they don't call this Rock City for nothing. The crowds have been phenomenal and the Fisher Theatre is exploding every night! This is going to be an awesome leg of the tour. I feel it already. I am excited to check out my old mate's record launch in Detroit tonight after the show. Brandon Calhoon (another ROCKSTAR:INXS alumni) is releasing his new CD at THE MAGIC BAG in Woodward Ave, Ferndale tonight. His voice, his musicianship and his larger-than-anything-you-could-ever-possibly-imagine persona will rip your heart out and make you want to stomp your soul!! I will be on track with catching up with all my 'ROCKER' friends, and to see Brandon play anything is a feast! Still much exploring to do here. Went jogging yesterday and ran through Henry Ford's estate. Wicked...!
17 November 2010 MOTOWN It's been crazy here in Detroit. So much to see and do, and so much to explore! A lot of the cast and the band went to a very special record launch last Friday for a very dear friend of mine, and ROCKSTAR:INXS alumni, Brandon Calhoon at the Magic Bag. His new cd "Satisfied" is phenomenal and I cannot recommend it enough. It's a follow up to his AWESOME EP, "Detroit City", available on iTunes. He is truly one of the most uniquely talented artists I have heard in a long time. Brandon then returned the favour by coming and seeing our show on Sunday and he was so overwhelmed by ROCK OF AGES, he swore he'd come again. Better still, Arsenal & Friends (aka "THE MOST HANDSOME MEN IN THE WORLD") did an impromptu set at the Majestic on Monday night, and Brandon came and joined in for a bit, and the sheer awesomeness on stage was unbelievable! Everybody has fallen in love with Brandon Calhoon, and he has become a dear friend to us all... Josh Sassanella finally had his ROA cherry picked by hitting the stage as Joey Primo last Saturday. That marks the moment that everybody has had a chance to go on. The swings have swung. We were blessed with the presence of the 'trés magnifique!' Mr. Richard Maheux, who took over for Brandon Ethridge in the weekend. Your awesomeness still burns in our brains! We are visiting the set of DETROIT 187 tomorrow. I can't wait. We met Erin Cummings, who plays Dr. Hailey Cork on the series, as she and many of the cast and crew came to see our show last week. She couldn't stop gushing about the show, so invited us all to see her show. Hope to have some awesome pics about that soon! Must go to sleep now, it's 3am. Time has become irrelevant these days...what day is it?....where am I....?
