30 December 2009 BURN THE FLOOR!
MiG makes his BROADWAY debut with BURN THE FLOOR 5 Jan, 2010! Replacing Ricky Rojas, for the final week of its New York run, and then touring with the show to Australia, Japan, Korea, Canada, and USA! BURN THE FLOOR, also starring Mary Murphy from 'SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE' and Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kym Johnson, both from 'DANCING WITH THE STARS', willl see MiG performing besides some of the best dancers in the world in this dance extravaganza. BURN THE FLOOR is playing at the Longacre Theatre, on 48th Street and Broadway before it embarks on its world tour. The show is a spectacular, sweaty, sexy celebration of ballroom dancing that was first developed and performed in Bournemouth, England, over ten years ago. Many tours and incarnations later, it has finally made it to Broadway and has become a major hit under the brilliant direction and choreography of Jason Gilkison. With overseas tours already booked, the final show date in New York is 10 January, 2010.

What began as a demo, song of hope to all Filipinos that they are not forgotten, has now expanded into a global campaign. Along with MiG's plea to his fans to help spread the word of the situation in the Philippines, MiG has now extended personal invitations to all his fellow theatre stars, recording artists, industry personnel, outside organizations... everyone. Hoping to not only bring awareness and desperately needed funds to the cause, but to also create cross promotional opportunities. 10 October 2009 MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER BENEFIT MiG will be playing with his good friends and colleagues at the awesom Eight Mile Creek, to raise money for MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER, 16 October, 2009. This is organized by Mike Clifford who writes: "There will be a 5 dollar cover charge at the door. Handel's Messiah Rocks is a groundbreaking musical event that blends classical music with classic rock in a fresh new interpretation of George Fredrick Handel's celebrated oratorio.
The Handel's Messiah Rocks CD features a full orchestra and rock band, choirs and compelling leads. Along with MiG, the album features powerful voices in stage and screen including LaChanze who won a Tony Award for her role as 'Celie' in The Color Purple, J. Robert Spencer who played 'Nick Massi' in the original Broadway Cast of Jersey Boys and received a Tony nomination for the lead role in Next To Normal. The DVD also features The Boston Pops conducted by Keith Lockhart featuring additional behind-the-scenes bonus footage and interviews.
National audiences will get to view the DVD on PBS this holiday season. The show will then embark on a multi-city tour across the US starting in 2010 during the Holiday Season.

HANDEL'S MESSIAH ROCKS
Handel's Messiah Rocks, will have its broadcast television premiere on June 3rd, in Chicago - on the local PBS station WTTW at 9:30 pm - before it begins its nation-wide broadcast on PBS this August. The more people who watch (and pledge) in Chicago in June, the wider the distribution will be nationally in August.  20 May 2009 MiG will NOT be performing at Eight Mile Creek tomorrow night, 21 May, due to an event at Eight Mile Creek. 30 April 2009 MiG will be singing the national anthems of both Australia and the United States at the The Anzac Day Dawn Service in New York City this Saturday, 25 April 2009 at 6am at the East Coast Memorial, Battery Park, New York City. This day commemorates the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at ANZAC Cove in Gallipoli, Turkey in 1915. It is a very important and solemn day in the Australian and Kiwi calendar.
 17 April 2009 Breaking MiG News: Backstage with MiG! Hey everyone! MiG here. Hope all is going well with you. 2009 may be a very hard year for some with this terrible financial crisis we face. Everyone seems to be touched by it in some way or form. I certainly feel it in many ways too. We just have to keep our heads above water and survive until things get better. As long as we have our families and love, we are wealthy beyond our wildest dreams. I am very excited about recording new tracks and the gigs I have coming up. I am off to the UK in May for the Bournemouth Queen Symphonic Spectaculars, which promises to be awesome. These gigs are some of my favourite things to do EVER! Seeing old friends back in England, and with the backdrop of breathtaking venues, fireworks, and the music, what's not to love? I want to extend an invitation to everyone to come and meet me backstage after the shows, so please sign up below to secure your place at the meet and greet, and details will be emailed to you soon. The venues are pretty strict about these things, so this is the best way to make it all happen smoothly! I can't wait to see you all and show you what I have been doing. Stay safe, stay happy, and for those in the Northern hemisphere... here comes the sun!!! I am so over the cold. Bring on summer!!

The International Tour of WE WILL ROCK YOU finishes up its incredibly successful run today in Bangkok. The tour started rehearsals in Johannesburg, South Africa last September and visited Auckland, Seoul, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok on the way. MiG and the WE WILL ROCK YOU Band will perform a showcase of songs from MiG's debut CD, new original material, as well as the odd song from the show.
