This song is dedicated to all those millions of people who have been affected by the recent floods in the Philippines resulting from Typhoon Ondoy. Too many people have died, too many people are missing and too many people are left with nothing after the floods destroyed entire villages and homes.
This song is a song of hope, to all Filipinos that they are not forgotten. That help is on its way. I hope this (demo!) track inspires those relief workers to keep on going as well. This could well be the theme song for all the amazing work that is being done to help the victims. However, the relief effort is under-funded and under-staffed. Those millions affected rely so much on too few. This song is a 'call-to-arms' to all Filipinos and to everyone around the world to help. GLOBAL CAMPAIGN
What began as a demo, a song of hope to all Filipinos that they are not forgotten, has now expanded into a global campaign. Along with MiG's plea to his fans to help spread the word of the situation in the Philippines, MiG has now extended personal invitations to all his fellow theatre stars, recording artists, industry personnel, outside organizations... everyone, hoping to not only bring awareness and desperately needed funds to the cause, but to also create cross promotional opportunities. REACH OUT PINOY is one of the first organizations to be involved, creating a UNITED AS ONE T-Shirt and clothing drive. Read below to learn more about their effort. REACH OUT PINOY Reach Out Pinoy, is a new organization based in Canada, created by 2 brothers with a pressing desire to help bring awareness and extra funds to the cause in any way they can. They launched a UNITED AS ONE clothing drive to help collect funds/food, which began with the creation of the Shirt Ko Give Ko T-Shirt as well as now, the UNITED AS ONE T-Shirt*. For every shirt purchased, another is donated, as well as they are donating all funds/food the clothing drive generates, directly to the cause.
